in a world full of thunderstorms, dare to dance in the rain....
in a world full of darkness, dare to be a light....
We live in a world of thunderstorms, In a world of darkness.....
But are we doing anything about it?
To dance means to move ones feet or body to a rhyme of music, to leap or skip because of excitement.
When we choose to dance in the rain we are choosing to let go and let God take over. We are choosing to dance to the rhyme of His Word. To not care what the world thinks of us, but to leap and skip in excitement of what Jesus has done.
Psalm 68:9 says, "You sent a heavy rain, O God. You brought life back to Your promised land when it was dry."
To be light means to make things visible, to have a radiance or illumination from a certain source.
When we choose to be a light we are choosing to live like Jesus. Light exposes the darkness, and sin. Sometimes we try to hide in the dark because we don't want our sin to be exposed... but we need to surrender and let God have it. We are to radiate Jesus, to illuminate Him.
John 8:12 says, "Jesus spoke to all the people, saying, “I am the Light of the world. Anyone who follows Me will not walk in darkness. He will have the Light of Life.”

We live in a lost world.... do we dare to make a difference?
I think you've probably heard this verse before.... Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things because Christ gives me the strength."
We can't do anything on our own strength, we have to rely on the One Who gives us strength.
Ephesians 3:16, " I pray that because of the riches of His shining-greatness, He will make you strong with power in your hearts through the Holy Spirit."
Dare to dance in the rain. Dare to be a light. Dare to follow Jesus. Dare to make a difference.
I'm going to close with this Bible verse.... (by the way, Psalm 104 is full of describing God, it's such a great passage, I highly recommend you read it)
Psalm 104:1-2,
"My soul, praise Yahweh!
Lord my God, You are very great;
You are clothed with majesty and splendor.
He wraps Himself in light as if it were a robe,"
A great post! I'm a dancer ... so this kinda strikes true!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's cool that you're a dancer, I'm not graceful or coordinated enough to be :)
